I’m a 30-something guy living in north Texas with my wife, son and daughter, 4 dogs, and a hamster I can’t stand. I can’t stand the hamster the rest of that list is fine most of the time.

I’ve been a software developer since the early 90s (VB-DOS for the win!). For the last nine years I’ve been leading Java development teams producing JEE web applications for a wide range of business domains.

I’m interested in some of the new technologies surrounding the Java space such as: JBoss Seam, Groovy, JRuby (and therefore Ruby too), and Spring.  I’m a huge fan of open source projects and just became aware of the excellent Architecture Rules project that I happily joined.
